Description
Yale XTC-24 CE Imori Climbing Rope – 12mm Competition-Grade Arborist Line
The Yale XTC-24 CE Imori is a competition-grade 24-carrier arborist climbing rope engineered for climbers who demand enhanced grip, smooth performance, and CE-compliant construction. Built with a steam-stabilized nylon core and an exclusive high-friction cover blend, Imori delivers superior ergonomics and confident handling in professional climbing systems.
Our CE EN 1891-compliant climbing lines use modified core constructions to meet European standards. As a result, CE models typically exhibit slightly higher elongation than ANSI equivalents, which can provide smoother performance in MRS (Moving Rope System) climbing. Imori can also be used in SRS/SRT systems, particularly when canopy anchored.
Pro Tip: The textured, high-grip cover improves hitch interaction and overall control—making Imori an excellent choice for climbers who rely on friction hitches and precise positioning. Specifications

What Makes Imori Unique?
Imori (pronounced eee-mor-lee) means “Good Forest” in Japanese. Yale integrates taslanized (textured) fibers into the sheath to increase surface friction and improve grip. These fibers are blended with solution-dyed polyester, creating a rope that provides enhanced control while minimizing excessive elongation through improved sheath-to-core interaction.
Ideal Applications
- MRS (DdRT) climbing systems
- Hitch-based climbing and positioning
- Work positioning lanyards
- SRS/SRT (especially canopy-anchored setups)
Important Safety Information
- Use only by trained and qualified personnel.
- Verify compatibility with climbing devices rated for 12mm ropes.
- Inspect rope before each use for abrasion, glazing, contamination, or sheath damage.
- Retire rope if excessive wear or core exposure is observed.
- Follow applicable arborist climbing safety standards and CE guidelines.
